Hallo Mrs. Angela,
I'm 27 years old female in Indonesia. First time I read your book was when
I was in elementary school. I was so interested in vampirism, almost
similar like Anton :D, my first The Little Vampire ('Drakula Cilik' in
Indonesian words) book was the 'in Danger' one. And then I tried to
collect the series, althought I couldn't get them all. And right now I
only have one left, because my friends borrowed my books and they have
never been returned to me again :(
It's hard to get the series right now. I don't know, is it because of it's
not being published anymore or because they couldn't reach my town. But I
really want to re-collect the series and find back my beautiful times when
reading them. Those books are so inspiring; and I really love that
illustrations also.
Keep the good work ;)

Dear Angela,
I´am from Shanghai, China, and visiting USA
for one month. My girlfriend and I like your book series "The little
Vampire" very much. Some of them have been translated to Chinese and more
will be published soon.
We are now excited about anything related to
the Little Vampire.
Thank you very much!

Sehr geehrte Frau
Sommer-Bodenburg,
was halten Sie von Vampiren? Gehen Ihnen nicht irgendwann einmal die Ideen
für Geschichten aus oder hilft Ihnen jemand beim Schreiben?
Viele liebe Grüße
die Klasse 4a

Hello,
My name is Alexandra ... (28 years old) and I live in France (Lyon).
When I was young, I really enjoyed the adventures of the little vampire.
I would like to read them again, but in France the editor HACHETTE doesn´t
want to publish the books any more. What a pity!
Indeed, many people in France would like to read again the little vampire´s
adventures.
Excuse me for my very poor English.
Thank you very much.

Dear Angela,
Hi! My name is Bárbara, I'm 21 years old, from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
I´ve started reading "the little vampire" when I was still a little child.
I found your web site just some minutes ago because I was searching the
web looking for arguments to prove to a friend that "the little vampire"
is a lot better than "harry potter". :)
I was surprised when I discovered that there are 3 books not yet released
here in Brazil. I´m looking forward to reading them! Ich lerne Deutsch...
if the books are not released in portuguese, I guess I´ll have to finish
my course fast to read them in german. I cherish all my 15 little vampire
books. They stay in my bookshelf side by side with my boring law books
from College. =) I guess my letter will look like something written by a
child not by someone who is 21 years old, but when I think about Rüdiger,
Anton and Anna, I remember the joy reading their stories - your stories -
brought to me and I feel like that young child again. You gave fantasy to
my childhood and, in certain way, I must say that you helped me becoming
who I am now, so I must thank you very, very much for that.
Sincerely,
Bárbara

The last time we corresponded was 1992. I
am still teaching Emotionally Disturbed children. Also, I still read
your books aloud to my students. Since approx 1985 I have read your
books including: My Friend The Vampire, Vampire Moves In, Vampire
Takes A Trip, Vampire On The Farm and Vampire In Love.
Haven´t found your other books in this series in
English, but I do take good care of the ones I have. My retirement is 3-8
years away. Your books will leave with me and hopefully my grandchildren will
be hearing them.
My emotions were mixed when the movie came out. I
took my son to see it and eventually bought a copy of the video.
I was hoping it would be closer to your wonderful
book, but still enjoyed it.

Dear Angela,
I was in 4th grade when I first came
across the first novel in the "Little Vampire Series" at the school
library, and from then till I left this school 4 years later I´ve made it
a habit to read this novel at least once each year. Although I love
reading and have read many books by many writers, this one I really adored,
to the extend that I asked the librarian to sell it to me when I was
leaving school, but unfortunately, she refused...
Yours Sincerely,
Usef, Alexandria, Egypt
